Easy DIY Fall Table Centerpiece

I love a good dining table centerpiece....they can really make a table shine! But I'm also pretty busy (like I know most of us are) so I don't always change my table decor for every holiday/season...*gasp!* ;) And while I love Halloween- I don't really decorate the inside of my home for it, so I wanted to create a centerpiece that I could leave up from now until it's time to get out the Christmas decor. I also didn't want to spend a lot....which can be a tall order when you're talking craft stores, DIY and me. I have a crafting problem, but admitting it is the first step, right?!?

Anyways, if any of you have a Michael's close to you- all their fall floral stems were 60% off. So I got these lovely large hydrangea flowers for only $2.25 each!!! Happy dance! The lamb's ear floral I got at JoAnns (with a coupon), and I already had the milk can, burlap and pumpkins. So over all, a fairly quick and inexpensive project.
Supplies:

8 Hydrangea floral stems total (3 lace/5 other) - Michael's
2 lambs ear floral stems - JoAnn Fabric
Galvanized metal milk can - Hobby Lobby
Burlap runner & white pumpkins - optional
Aren't these hydrangea with lace so pretty!?!  I bought 3 stems of these to add to the centerpiece, because I liked the different texture the lace added.
Trim the stems to fit in milk can.
Arrange floral stems in milk can.  Add a few of the lambs ear greenery to fill in any bare spots and add some more texture.  And voila!  You're all done :)
I added a small burlap 6 inch runner underneath, along with a few white pumpkins and some more lamb's ear leaves, to dress up the table.
I also like it without the pumpkins...so I have options if I want to change it up.  I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I love that my dining room looks all put together for fall now.
