DIY Fall decor is a great way to save money but also add something new to your home! Decorate for Fall on a budget with this easy, inexpensive, festive DIY vase. It's the perfect addition to your Fall decorations without spending a lot of money but still making your decor look refreshed and unique.

Step 1- measure your vases to determine how tall and wide each piece of fabric needs to be.  Leave 1/2 inch on each side for overlap.  (this is where you will put the glue) and cut the fabric accordingly

Step 2- lay the vase over the fabric centered so that you have 1/2 inch of fabric to spare on the top and bottom and roll the vase as far to the right side as possible, leaving an inch to spare.  (see pic)

Step 3- squeeze hot glue onto the right side of the vase, making a vertical line from top to bottom then cover the glue with the right side of the fabric

Step 4-roll the vase all the way over from right to left until you only have a small flap of fabric left on the left side. Place another line of hot glue from top to bottom on the left side and cover it up with the remaining fabric (just like you did in step 3)

Step 5-squeeze hot glue around the outer perimeter of the bottom of the vase and cover up the glue by folding over the 1/2 inch of extra fabric
.
Step 6- squeeze hot glue around the interior perimeter of the top of the vase and cover up the glue by folding the remaining 1/2 inch of extra fabric over the glue and inside the vase.
And then you have a pretty vase to add your favorite Fall foliage to!

can I put glue on left side of vase? Instead of right side? Pretty sure that it is not required on any particular side

It looks nice. However wouldn't it be better to only hot glue the fabric to the underside of the fabric and not to the glass itself ? That way you could do the same thing with different fabric choices for other seasons. All you would have to do is slide the pre-made sheath over the glass vase. You could take them off and put them on whenever you wanted.
