Did you know you were supposed to clean your Keurig? I never even thought about cleaning our Keurig until one day when my dad asked me how he should clean his. It made me realize that you actually should be cleaning your Keurig about every 6 months.

Gather the supplies to clean your Keurig. Which is basically just your Keurig, mug, water, vinegar and a sponge.

Remove all the existing water from the Keurig water container. Replace it with half vinegar and half water. Run it two tips without a KCup in it.

Dump out all the vinegar. Replace it with fresh water. Now run the machine until you no longer smell the vinegar. This could take 4-5 cups, but depending on your machine it may take even more cups. Keep running until all you smell is fresh water.

It is recommended that you do this once every 3-6 months.

Can you believe how easy it is to clean your Keurig. I cannot believe I never tried to clean it before. I wonder what other things in my kitchen I should have been cleaning, but never tried to clean.
