I made this little sign from a cutting board for Thanksgiving but it is really great for all year round. Don’t we all seem to gather in the kitchen? Well, this is the perfect sign to make. And it is so easy to do.
I don’t have a cutting machine so I use my computer to design how I want my sign to look.  When making a sign I like using a font that is forgiving.  If you use a font with straight lines it is harder to paint in and not have it look sloppy.   The font I used is a script.
After printing it out from my computer I use Saral paper to transfer to the breadboard.  You can always take a pencil and scribble on the back and then draw around the letters.
Once the words are transferred to the breadboard start painting them in.  You can use a paint pen, I used black craft paint and filled in the letters.  When the paint has a chance to get really dry sand it to distress it a bit and then wax the breadboard with clear wax to protect it.
Now gather together and enjoy your company.  The sign will give your home warmth and personality.
