Easy Crepe Paper Bat Halloween Garland

This halloween bat garland is SO easy, inexpensive, and fast to make! It's the perfect quick addition to your Halloween decor.
The only material you need is black (or purple, or whatever color you choose) crepe paper. I bought two rolls for a dollar at my local dollar store. Otherwise, you just need a pair of scissors.
You could really just freehand the bat shape, but if that makes you nervous, don't worry, I made a free printable template to help you make your own bat garland! Click over to the blog post (link below) to get the free printable PDF bat template to make this garland.
Making the bat garland is a breeze. Just fold the crepe paper, accordion style, as wide as the bat template. And cut out the shape. Just be careful not to cut the bat wings to a complete point! You need the tips of the bat wings to stay connected to form the garland.
The bat garland is fun on its own, but looks even more amazing layered with the yarn pom pom and paper napkin tassel garlands I made, too. (Be sure to check out my other hometalk posts for the details on those garlands).
You can see just how incredibly easy this bat garland is to make in the quick video tutorial I made.
