Transform a pine cone garland from your Christmas decorating stash into a natural and organic runner and centerpiece for your fall table with a few additions in 10 minutes!
I started with a 6 foot pine cone garland. I like this garland since it can be used as the base for a mantel or table for Christmas or winter. Since I think of pine cones when I think of fall too, I decided it would work equally well for a fall table.
Gather your materials, you can use fresh or faux. I gathered some white pumpkins, gourds, dried hydrangeas and cut some burgundy Loropetalum foliage from the shrubs. Once you have all your materials together you can assemble your runner and table centerpiece in less than 10 minutes!
Place your runner down the length of your table. I tucked the hydrangeas in alongside the pine cones first.
Next came the gourds.
Then I added the pumpkins, votives and sprigs of foliage. If you’re making your runner in advance, keep your greenery or any fresh foliage that you’ve cut hydrated in water, adding and tucking them in at the last minute.
Set the table and light your votives! Ta-da!...a natural and organic centerpiece and table runner for fall that you created using your Christmas garland!
This is one of my favorite methods to create a centerpiece for a table. Because it's nice and low you see over it and have a conversation while dining. You can find another version creating a Pumpkin-Oak Leaf Runner for your Thanksgiving table here.
