A noticeable change.

This is how our home appeared in 1999 when we bought it. It was in need of some TLC, but with our budget and busy parents schedule we just maintained for a while.
The woodpeckers loved this house!
But finally after the kids both graduated from college and moved away, it was time for change and I'm not talking just menopause.
I chose the colors, the change in the stairs and wrote the checks. Our contractor performed this transformation. This is Hardie plank now...sorry woodpeckers!
I dream of having stonework added to the chimney. But if it never happens I'm okay with this.
The house is down a long driveway and not clearly visible from the road. The first time the UPS man came to make a delivery after the change, he told us that he thought he'd come to the wrong house because it looked so different!!

P.S. No more Jeep...but there's a Harley you can't see in the garage.

Change is good!

This is really nice! Stonework huh? Have you ever thought of adding faux stone over the wood? Then you will have the look, but if it turns out you liked the original better (which I do), you can again remove it. Very nice place, and a Harley always makes a person feel better... :)

@Therese C , I'll leave that to professionals who don't have a fear of heights and are well insured! I'm crafty, but I know my limitations!!
