Ugly 60's-ish Coffee Table Makeover

Wildflowers & Pistols
by Wildflowers & Pistols
I really don't like this style of furniture.. at all. When I saw this table I thought it was hideous BUT I was pretty sure I could save it and turn it into something beautiful!
Those gold metal legs screamed DATED
Yep.. really wasn't anything special and was just going to be thrown away.
I knew those {ugly} metal legs were most of the problem. So, I took the metal legs off and replaced them with nice wooden legs I picked up from Home Depot. I also sanded down the top because I was going to stain a beautiful design on the top.
I painted the legs and sides of the table top with The Hayloft's Milk Paint in Strawberry Rhubarb. I love the chippy and crackle look you can get with milk paint! Not to mention it's super durable! Those new wooden legs change the entire feel of this coffee table!
I love the simple detailing on the legs!
I drew up this rose {free hand- NO stencils used} then stained it. :)
I am VERY pleased with how this rose turned out!
If you ask me, this little table was given a MUCH needed makeover and is now beautiful instead of ugly and dated!

I am just so amazed with this rose that you free handed. I absolutely love it. You are so talented. I wish someone would create some sort of stencil set for a rose like that. I would definitely get one. Thank you for sharing. You are so talented.

I can not make one to look like yours freehand. I can’t even draw a bath of water so I would have to buy a stencil and draw it on that way but you really did a great job.
