Use small autumn gourds made of foam and transform them into cute pumpkin fish. Fins and faces are made from polymer sculpting clay and glued to the pumpkins for fun, festive holiday decor.

Use an assortment of fake gourds and pumpkins from the craft store. You can paint them with spray paint or craft paint or leave them au naturale.

Take your modeling clay and sculpt it into the shape of fins. Curve them slightly so that they can be glued to the sides of the pumpkins after they are baked

Make eye balls and lips out of the clay

Bake the fins, eyes and lips on a baking sheet at 210 degrees for 10 minutes for every 1/4 inch of thickness of the clay (or according to the directions on the packaging)

Let the clay pieces cool completely

Glue them to the pumpkin using super glue. Add a dab of glue to the clay pieces and press them firmly onto the gourds for 5-10 seconds.

Add some accents to the fins using acrylic paint.

Paint stripes or dots onto the fins and pumpkins.

Paint the eye balls and add a pupil with black permanent marker.

Place your fish pumpkins on display. Display them in groups for a fun pumpkin school of fish.
