I had seen a similar lawn piling on a website and I decided to make one myself.
I found these cedar pilings for sale online at Barnard Ltd., a co. that sells props. The tallest piling is 36" high and 3 to 4 inches wide.
I found decorative unfinished wood Seagulls on mini pilings at Home Goods.
I painted the birds to look realistic and then removed them from the base.
I also added dowels for legs. I drilled holes in the wood Seagulls and the pilings so I could insert the dowel legs and secure the birds.
I found a solar lawn light that had a nautical look at Walmart. I drilled a hole with a wood boring drill bit to accommodate the base of the solar light.
I had a piece of scrap wood that I painted and attached some old house numbers that I no longer use on my home. I added some rope trim and hung it from a small hook. I am really happy with the finished product and it looks great surrounded by the ornamental grass.
You can also decorate these pilings with other nautical creatures , fishing nets, anchors, life preserver ring etc.
