Learn how to make a Christmas wreath from scratch with this easy tutorial. Evergreen wreaths are a wonderful gift to give during the holidays and they look great hung indoors or outdoors. Use tree trimmings from around your yard to make this one of a kind Christmas wreath. This wreath has an extra surprise, a jar of honey is attached to the wreath to make a one of a kind holiday gift for someone special.

Begin by cutting about 36 inches of 18 gauge craft wire. Then, wrap it around the base of the jar just under the lid. Twist it around itself and then place the jar on the base of the wreath and wrap the loose wire end around the wreath.

Take more wire and secure it around the lid again and secure it around the wreath base on each side of the jar. Add enough wire until the jar is securely attached to the wreath base. The jar of honey may be heavy so make sure you wrap it tightly and use lots of wire for extra support.

Next, take bunches of greenery about 4 inches long and place them onto the wreath base. Wrap the greenery with 22 gauge floral wire to hold it into place. Start with a base of cedar and fir, alternating the two around the wreath base in a clock wise direction. Cover the wire as fresh bunches of greenery are laid down and work your way around the wreath until the entire base is covered with the evergreen branches.

Once the wreath is decorated to your liking you can trim the excess branches so that it looks neat and circular.
