1960's/70's Dresser Revival

These are pretty close to my heart. They came to me by way of a wonderful charity organization here in town. The awesomtasticabulous Mr. B. sent them my way! It goes without saying that a part of the proceeds shall be returned to our favourite community supporters :)
After 70 or so years, they didn't have a scratch on them. And the wood (Zebra - love!!) was too beautiful to mask.
see what I mean about being busy?
I wasn't going to use the mirrors - thought it may make it a little too dated... but I kinda like them - they of course, can easily be removed.
I cleaned the pieces top to bottom, using Circa 1850 Furniture Refinisher & 0000 steel wool. ASCP in "Old White" and definition sanding were applied to the two side tables, drawers & hardware. Ebony stain on the surface & a double waxing using Minwax in "Natural" and they were finished!
The lamps were in my bedroom when I was a kid. They are Vintage. (gulp)
Again, lovin' that wood. Solid as a rock (and as heavy as a Smart Car!)
Forgot to put the mirrors on for the before shot...
There's a headboard as well....but I wonder...does anyone purchase full bedroom "suites" anymore? hmmm
Cute
This was the tallboy...
And here is the tall Girl!
Really thought the pulls were beautiful but quite worn & marred... speckled with a little paint & wax made them a little more regal.

As usual all pieces are for sale!
