Are you looking for new an beautiful ways to upcycle old tables? Grab some resin, vintage music and an old table and turn an outdated piece of furniture into a music lovers statement piece.

There are so many great, solid wood tables out there just begging to be upcycled. Check out another table makeover here...

For this project, I had this table in my stash of furniture and it had the perfect indented top for this project.

To make this music lovers dream table start by painting the table solid black with Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black.

To make the base for the top, grab some vintage sheet music and Mod Podge. When using resin, you need to make sure the paper is sealed so that the resin doesn't soak into the paper.

To attach the paper to the table top and seal it, put one coat of Mod Podge under the sheet music and two coats on top.

Using old buttons, add a music note on top of the sheet music to add some character and depth.  Add a dab of hot glue under each button to hold it in place.

To complete the top, follow the directions on the resin box and then pour it over the sheet music and buttons. Make sure the resin covers the tops of the buttons completely and then let it sit over night and it will dry crystal clear and hard.

The vintage sheet music and button note look perfect under the resin and combined to create such a unique table.
