Essential Oils Bottle Art

I have a hard time throwing things away, especially those cute little EO bottles. They’re now wall art and/or garden art.

Remove labels and clean the bottles. Drill holes in the center of the bottle caps. The size of the holes are determined by the cord you use to attach the bottles to the ring. I made my cording from a sock.

Smooth it out flat and evenly. Cut the top off, then cut the rest of the sock into horizontal strips approximately 1” wide. After cutting give the strips a good stretch. The edges will curl in and give them a finished look if cut on the right grain.

Use what ever tool works to push the cord through the hole in the bottle cap.

Put the cord through the top of the cap (I used the tip of a nail file) and tie a knot in the end that puts the knot inside the bottle.

Screw the cap back on.

Put the loop through the ring, the bottle through the loop and tighten the loop to the ring.

Repeat with each bottle till all are attached to the ring. I cut one of the sock loops, knotted the ends together then double-looped it around the top of the ring.

or garden art.

Suggested materials:
  • Wooden ring, EO bottles, cording. Drill, pointed tool,   (Except for the $2 ring all items were already in and around the house.)
  • Wooden ring

Thanks. Just had to find a way to use ‘em. Then had to share because EOs are popular now that there’s gotta be someone out there that might want to try it.
