HOW TO TURN BAR STOOL CHAIRS INTO DINING CHAIRS

Our friend found these awesome bar stools for a steal on facebook marketplace. However, he really needed chairs for his dining room table. So, we helped him to cut them down and turn them into dining room chairs instead! This is an easy project that could be done on any type of chair with wooden legs. You don't need many tools or special skills to make it happen!

Here you can see the taller chair that he got - brown on the left - and the height that he wanted them to be - black on the right

Measure the difference between the two chairs. Use a measuring tape to measure that distance up the leg of each tall chair.

Use a saw to cut along that line. You could use a circular saw or even a hand saw if that is all you have.

If the bottom of the leg is scuffed up, you can sand it, apply wood filler if needed, sand again, and then apply a stain that is color matched to your chair's finish.

That's all it takes to make your bar stools dining chair height!
