Tub of Pink Carnations

Bill Andrews
by Bill Andrews
I found an old claw-foot tub and repainted it and filled it with soil and pink carnations. Then, I added a faucet with an old outdoor type faucet plumbed to a small pool pump set below the tub. It recirculates the water, making the faucet look like it's running and filling the tub. In these photos, the faucet was off but it really works.

I never particularly cared for carnations until someone showed me that you can use your fingers and open them up, then fluff them. This way, they look entirely different and almost like peonies! Try it. You'll be pleased!
