Gingerbread is one of my favorite winter scents. My kids love jelly soaps, so I made them some for winter with this cute gingerbread soap mold. They have liquid castile soap in them, so they can be used as a hand soap or for the body.

You'll need:

1.5 packs of unflavored gelatin

1/3 cup water

2/3 cup liquid castile soap

.15 ounce gingerbread essential oil blend

1/8 teaspoon brown mica powder for color

and this cute gingerbread mold

Start by putting the liquid castile soap and essential oil in a 2 cup measuring cup.

Then heat the water in a saucepan on the stove. When it boils, remove from heat and sprinkle in the gelatin. Stir well until there are no clumps.

Pour the gelatin into the liquid castile soap. Add mica to color. Stir well.

Pour into the gingerbread soap mold. Carefully place in the fridge for a few hours to set up. When it's fully set up, carefully remove the soaps from the mold.

I find that it's easiest to slowly peel off part and just work your way around the mold. I peel the mold from the soap so the soap doesn't rip.

These soaps look so cute on a little dish in a guest bath. My kids love them in the shower because they are wiggly and jiggly like gelatin.
