My Little Slice of Heaven in West Virginia

Our yard is a work in progress and it's our favorite place to be. We spend most of our free time here and although it's a lot of work, it's also a wonderful place to relax and talk about everything under the sun. I love where I live!
The view from our deck.
From the flickering solar lights to the fire pit, to the fairy village in the willow tree and the pond in the distance, there are all sorts of interesting nooks and crannies in our backyard.
There are two ponds hidden in here.
This area changes from week to week. We have so many different plantings here and it's wonderful to watch the transformation.
My path of faces.
I love these face stepping stones. I've had them for several years and they're just a fun addition to my garden.
My newest addition.
A walkway leading to a seating area with a purple martin birdhouse and plant galore!
Smokebush after the rain.
I captured the raindrops on this smokebush immediately after a warm summer rain. I love the way the picture turned out.
Windowbox on an old outbuilding.
The area behind the ponds.
We turned an old, ugly outbuilding into quaint little potting shed by adding some color and a few accessories
