All Those Curbside Saves

Once tossed to the side, these pieces are salvaged and pared up into new unique home accents.
This bench was made from 4 different trash finds. A crib side forms the back, part of a kitchen table the seat, legs from a kitchen chair and hardware from some unique plastic drawers out of a dilapidated dresser.
The formed piece seen here is a plastic drawer front, painted in to match.

Made from 2 throwaways, a pedestal table without a top and a side to a home made cabinet becomes a funky patriotic table. Just some paint and dry brushing to give a rustic flag feel.
I always buy yard sticks at sales, when I saw this plain wood table tossed to the curb, I knew it was the perfect canvas for them. Plain Jane becomes an eye catching accent.
Found table legs paired with a heavy wall storage unit now are a perfect pair for a dining room desk! This top was so heavy we almost threw out our backs carrying it to the car, we waited until we found some hefty legs because we knew it would need some serious support!

Someone tossed a hope chest that had chewed up bottom molding and a particle board top covered with contact paper! ugh!! Some new molding for the bottom (also found for free) and the other part of the kitchen table, used on the white bench in this post, makes a brand new solid wood chest! The insides and base were beautiful, only the top and molding made it previously unwanted. Note- the table was too large in width for the top so had to be cut, in order to give it a uniform look, my husband sanded the cut side to match the router look on the other two sides.
This bench was tossed out, beat up and weathered. New boards for the seat, and part of a tossed out garage door for the back rest, along with new paint, hardware and accent piece breathed new life into it!

How awesome! I'd love to see more pictures of the inside of your house. I bet it's full of beautifully remade treasures. It takes a lot of vision to put those items together into such cohesive and beautiful yet completely functional pieces. Well done!
