Tammy from Rustic Orchard Home shows you how to create this fun project using an old cabinet door and some wooden legs!

Isn’t it so refreshing when you are able to salvage something and give it new life? That’s what happened with this DIY. An old repurposed cabinet door turned into the cutest farmhouse tray with some paint and new wooden legs!

First, you will want to clean your cabinet door well with Dixie Belle White Lightning Paint won’t stick to dirt and grime so you want to get all of that off!

Next, use your Voodoo Gel Stain to stain the wooden legs. Be sure to let those dry completely.

Counter sink 4 screws into the corners of your cabinet door. Once the legs are totally dry, screw them in. You will need to fill the holes you have made with wood filler. That way they won't be visible after painting. Let the wood filler dry completely before moving on.

Finally, you will use your Farmhouse Green Chalk Mineral Paint to paint the door. Be sure to let your paint dry between coats.

And there you have it! You now have a cute repurposed cabinet door farmhouse style tray for your home!

Hi, I was curious to know if you sealed the painted cabinet with anything. If so, what did you use? If you didn’t, does this not leave the tray somewhat dry and exposed for marks of any kind from anything?
