Even though Christmas has passed I wanted to keep some of the magic alive to chase away the winter "blahs". I could think of no better way to do that than to create a magical feeling white winter wonderland on my front porch!

I loved my Christmas front porch, but it's time for the Nutcracker and all his accompanying decor to be stored until next year. However, I am not ready to put away all of the magic of the season just yet. After all we still have a couple more months of winter to work with.

Since my budget isn't unlimited, I want to reuse whatever decor I can and I began with this plant tray and lantern. For the lantern, I switched out the red and gold Christmas ornaments for these snow white and silver ones. These had actually been used in my Christmas decor inside as you can find detailed on my blog.

I removed the snowman, which I guess seems silly since I was going for a snowy look but he just felt too Christmasy for this look with his Holly adorned hat and red plaid scarf. I added this lovely vase from Homeoligie which I filled with sparkly white flowers, a crystal snowflake, and a flocked floral greenery stem.

Beside the plant tray I kept this bin of birch logs. I had wrapped a wide red ribbon around the metal bin and added a bow for Christmas. To change it out for winter I added a few pine cones, some faux snowballs, and lightly sprayed the contents with spray snow. I also added this cute little bear decked out with a faux fur scarf.

To complete this side of the porch I added a rustic ladder, a pair of ice skates, and a frosty blush colored floral stem. While I tried to keep most everything white I just couldn't resist the frosty look of this flower.

On the other side of the door I added a couple of flocked mini-trees, this lovely vase my daughter painted for me, and more faux white flowers.

I also added a coir doormat which I spray painted with white paint to give it a frosty look.

Here's a close up of the vase my daughter painted for me. I absolutely love it and think the blue adds just the right amount of color to this side of the porch!

And there you have it. The complete transformation from Holly Jolly to winter wonderland. To see more of the details, and what I did to the large window above the door, check out the full blog post here.
