These wax melts are perfect for Valentine's Day with a chocolate scent. They are made with a natural fragrance oil and soy wax, so they are all natural. These are perfect for the home or to give as a gift.

You'll need soy wax, chocolate natural fragrance oil, and this cute 8- and 16-bit heart mold.

I used a container wax, so I added stearic acid so the wax would release from my wax melter easier. You can also use vybar.

Use 3 tablespoons of stearic acid per pound of wax and 1/2 teaspoon vybar for each pound of wax.

Use a digital scale to measure your wax. I used 3 ounce of wax because I only wanted to make a few wax melts.

If you use less wax, adjust the other ingredients in proportion.

Never heat wax over direct heat because it can cause hot spots, which can cause a fire.

I set a canning jar ring in a pan of water and set my glas with the wax on top of that to make a double boiler.

Heat the wax and stearic acid or vybar until melted. Carefully remove from heat and set on a hot pad.

Let cool to 175 degrees. Then add 0.5-1 ounce by weight of fragrance per pound of wax.

I usually add the full ounce except when I'm using a very strong oil like cinnamon or peppermint.

Carefully pour into the mold. Let cool completely.

How cute are these natural wax melts?
