I had a reader ask me how to clean hard water buildup and I had a little grime around my kitchen sink faucet so I thought I’d demonstrate for you! The key to getting off water grime is white vinegar.
The house we built a few years ago had really hard water so we were constantly battling water build up on our faucets and shower heads.
Pour white vinegar all over the grimy area.
Cover with saran wrap to seal in all of the fumes.Wait 15-30 min (depending on how bad the grime is), then remove the plastic wrap.
Scrub grime away with sponge or toothbrush. For complete directions see the link below!

Will the vinegar harm the finish on faucets? One faucet on my tub leaked at the bottom & now had a circle of green on the base of the faucet and around it on the tub. I don't want the acid to remove the chrome.
