If you've got toy clutter involving Nerf Guns - this post is for you! It's so hard to contain all the toys and in particular, these Nerf Guns are odd shaped so they don't easily fit into bins or cubbies. During our $100 Playroom Makeover, we found a crafty solution to the madness. It's an easy DIY project you can do in a day! You only need a few supplies from the hardware or garden store and you'll have an organized wall in no time!

Be sure to stop by Create and Find to get all the details on this Nerf Gun wall and more, including how I made over our playroom for only $100!

To make your own, you need peg boards, 1x2 boards, screws, and paint. Grab an assortment of hooks/pegs to keep all of the Nerfs on the pegboard and you're all set.

Check out what we started with! This closet was a disaster. Too much stuff, Nerf guns always spilling out and thrown into the corner and zero organization.

It depends on the size of the wall that you're working with, but you may need to trim the pegboard first. We used a circular saw and cut it down to fit inside our closet.

Paint it whatever color you like. Then cut down a few 1x2 boards to use for attaching your pegboard. We did this for stability. We screwed the 1x2's into the studs of the wall and then screwed the pegboard to the 1x2s.

We painted the 1x2s orange, but it hindsight, it didn't really matter since you don't see them through the boards very much. However, if you are adding this to a regular wall and not a closet, it might be worth your time to paint them. In total we used 4 1x2 strips to mount each side of the pegboard. One on the top and bottom of both sides.

Then you can use your assortment of hooks and pegs to position all those Nerf Guns on the wall. I also added a little hanging bucket for the little round nerf balls. This also makes for easy clean up - the kids know exactly where everything goes so there's no cluttered pile in the corner!
