Taking a Traditional OAK Kitchen and making it Amazing for a fraction of the cost! I used General Finishes Java Stain.
The Traditional Oak Kitchen!
Another Angle
The area off the kitchen was mauve and oak...LOVELY...NOT!
1st thing I did was take the cabinetry off the wall and hang it to the height I wanted. I wanted your eye to go up when walking into the kitchen.
After I added 3 coats of stain I started adding the moldings.
A ton of "LOOK" for a fraction of the cost!
Here is picture's I took during the process so you could see the stages.
Here it is completed. I wanted to have some open cabinetry because I like the look but I kept the doors for resale!
This is the area off the kitchen, I added the same moldings I added to the front door to the slider to bring your eyes up. I really like the drama it added to the room.
Here is yet another angle. You can see I also build an Herb magnet board on the side to open up some counter space. I think that was my favorite part. I LOVE organization:) I hope this helps someone get some ideas:)
