No Sew Floor Cushions
I can’t sew.
Well OK, actually maybe that isn’t the right choice of words.
I can sew . I just choose not to because I dislike it so (see what I did there?). I find the whole process quite daunting. Then when you add a sewing machine to the equation, I can literally feel drops of perspiration forming on my forehead.
That voice inside my head? It just screams NO! Just NO! (dramatic, as ever I know)
So as you can imagine, I live for ALL the alternative solutions to sewing products .
And I wanted to make floor cushions for my rented home to soften up the flooring (FYI have you watched my new RENTER HOME TOUR SERIES) but didn't want to sew so heres what I did
MATERIALS USED:
- Glue
- Single sized bed sheet (or 2 x pieces of 60cm X 60cm fabric)
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Stuffing
- Ruler or square template
HOW TO:
1 .Lay out your bed sheet the wrong way down on a flat surface (iron if needed). draw a square outline on one side of the fabric.
2. Cut out the two squares with a sharp pair of scissors.
Now apply the Contact Adhesive Glue around the edges of both of the fabric squares.
Don’t forget to leave a 3-4 cm opening on both of the fabric squares clear of glue. This opening will be used to insert the the stuffing.
Place the two fabrics together ..Leave the glue to cure for 24hrs
Once dried, turn the pillow in side out through the opening you have created.
Fill the new cushion with stuffing!
Seal the opening shut with more glue
And you are done.
As always more details can be found at the link below!

You can also use stitch witchery (iron on bonding strips). Cut to lengths of sides of pillow & iron, leave a 4" opening to turn fabric right side out and stuff. Once stuffed, close opening with more Stitch Witchery. This can can be washed & dried many times.

Does the glue hold that good ? Looks nice.
What kind of glue?
Where did you purchase the sheet? Name of the pattern? Really like it and have not seen anything that pretty in a while. Love the instructions as well.
