A thousand years ago one of my fantasies involved owning a quaint B&B. I loved the idea of welcoming people into my home; socializing with them, cooking for them, and generally making them feel that my home was their home - albeit if only for a few nights.
I envisioned that in my guest house I would have several bedrooms, and each bedroom would be decorated a certain way. Each would have its own identity. This is a piece that I could see in one of my guest bedrooms.
Hardly anyone remembers furniture.

But this one would be remembered - it would be a piece of wood put together a certain way, and painted a certain way that would have the ability to refresh memories. Every time they saw Sir Fredrick Leighton's Flaming June their thoughts would go back to that piece of heaven they had experienced at my guest home.

Not every piece of furniture can do that.

Now the reality of it is it turns out I'm rather unsocial, and lazy. The last thing I want to do is clean people's dirty bedding.

But that's the nice thing about fantasies - they don't involve any work.
