Country Kitchen Cupboard From Windows and Old Waterbed Lumber

While building this cupboard in the basement, I needed some lumber--I didn't have to look far. Stored in the dark recesses of the gloomy basement was a waterbed from long ago. PERFECT!
It's all in the details! I love making cabinets using old windows for doors, but when I made this tall cabinet, I was in need of some larger pieces of lumber.
Speaking of old windows....this is what I started with....
This is the *design* process, where I start piecing together the old windows with the waterbed pieces. I never draw or sketch plans. I just fly (and build) by the seat of my pants.
This cabinet was so tall, it barely stood upright in the basement.
