Upcycled Bowling Ball Yard Art

by Tania Pelletier
I made myself a little lady bug for my yard from an old, upcycled bowling ball :o)
Ugly old bowling ball that I picked up at a garage sale for .50 cents.
I taped it off for the face and wing areas. The two finger holes will become eyes and the thumb hole is where the antenna will go.
Sprayed it with flat black spray paint.
I used a scrap of contact paper and a scrapbooking circle punch for the spots.
I reused the same piece of contact paper for the eyes and some white craft paint.
A piece of 16 guage wire bent if half and some Plaster of Paris for the antenna.
And some tiny wooden candle cups sprayed black on the ends of the antenna.
And here's my little lady!

Okay, gotta start looking for old bowling-balls. I do see them occasionally at yard-sales and thrift-stores, but now I have a use for one!!!
