Lightening Up Room With White Paint

The original color of these walls was a sandy brown. In order to lighten them up and make them appear less dreary, I painted both the woodwork and walls a plain white. As you can see, it really brightened up the spaces.
This is the original color of the walls behind the hutch, prepared for painting.
This is the wall in the dining area prepared for paint.
This is the after photo of the wall with the hutch.
This really makes the room look much longer and brighter.
With the light color of the banquet and the walls this room appears much larger than the original photos.

What is "confusing" Barbara R? Looks like shadows from the various light sources on the ceiling. It looks fabulous Gretchen, you did a wonderful job, the lighter walls really brighten it up and make your furniture and accessories pop. Your home is lovely!
