Mini Farmhouse Dollar Store Scale

I love the kitchen scales I made, and so I decided to make a small one. I saw this idea from Jay Munee DIY, and when I saw these square plates, I knew they'd be perfect!

I used a candle warmer as the base.

I began by spraying the canning jar lid with black spray paint. The I let it dry.

Then I cut out this sweet timer face. I just skimmed the internet until i found one I liked!

Then I used E 6000 and glued it on the back of the warmer covering the hole.

The sides peek out a bit, so don't put glue there!

Next apply the E 6000 to the top of the warmer.

And I just glued to the bottom of the plate I found it was easier to do upside down so try to center it.

It's all dry and looking cute, but a bit too white.

Cute but it needed something!

So I took a black sharpie and drew a line around the edge of the plate! What do you think for this $3 scale?

This is the timer face I used.

Just love this & just have to make one. In the list of items it called for a canning jar insert. What do I use that for?

You keep referring to the face as a "timer" face. Isn't it actually a scale face?

I thought it was an adorable idea and I did not think to use a black marker around the plate to tie in color was genus, I thought. This is just a cute simple type of décor that can be customized to each season and it is inexpensive to make but looks vintage. Keep up the great work.😊
