I have made some of these in the past, and I love them! I also love a bit of buffalo check, so I figured I'd show you how easy this is!

Start off with a glass plate and some fabric.

Lay your fabric over the plate, just to make sure the fabric covers the plate.

Next, apply some Mod Podge to the bottom side of the plate.

You may want to apply to half the plate, apply the fabric, and then do the other side, because the mod podge can dry pretty fast.

Then smooth out the fabric.

While the plate is drying, grab a candle stick, and apply some twine to the top, and glue it down.

I also added some cotton string to add some interest.

I created a pattern, it looks so cute!

Once the mod podge is fully dry, cut off any extra fabric.

Then apply some E6000 to the top of candle stick and glue it to the middle of plate.

And let that dry!

This is how it looks once it's finished.

This how I used mine on my farmhouse table, love it!

I hope you are inspired to give this DIY a try yourself.

Was there any particular reason you didn’t put another layer of Modpog over the fabric once it was in place?

How do you wash this thing? I know if you put cake on it, it needs to be washed.
