Not only is this rainbow unicorn body butter beautiful, but it is rich, creamy, and moisturizing as well.

This easy DIY would make a great gift or simply a fun treat for your own home spa day.

You will need:

  • shea butter
  • coconut oil
  • fractionated coconut oil
  • mica powder coloring in blue, green, yellow, pink and purple
  • ylang ylang, orange, and lemon essential oils

First, heat the shea butter, coconut oil, and fractionated coconut oil using a double boiler, until the mixture has melted completely.

Then, remove from heat.

Add 15 drops each of Ylang Ylang, orange, and lemon essential oil and stir to mix well.

Place in refrigerator to allow to set, checking in on mixture every 5-10 minutes.

The mixture is set when it is opaque and has a semi-solid surface.

Once set, beat mixture on high speed until it forms stiff peaks. This can happen quickly, or it may take as long as 10 minutes.

Separate into 5 bowls and stir mica powder into each until you reach your desired colors.

Layer the various colors of body butter into a pastry bag, plastic baggie, or other icing tool and pipe it into a glass container.

Store in a sealed glass jar in a cool room or in refrigerator until ready to use.
