A burlap wreath is a versatile piece of decor that can work in your home year round. Update a basic burlap wreath with paper pinwheels in bright colors for summer

This video will show you how to make a double pinwheel. Use this technique to make pinwheels for the wreath, or simplify using the steps below.

Start with squares of two sides paper, adhesive mounting squares, buttons, hot blue and a scissors.

Cut slits into each square starting at one corner and ending just shy of the middle. Repeat for each corner. Add an adhesive mounting square to the center and fold in the flaps sticking them to the square. Hot glue a button in the center to finish.

Make a few pinwheels for your wreath, or fill the whole thing!

Using hot glue attach the pinwheels to the burlap wreath to create a colorful summer wreath for your front door. I added a paper welcome sign to finish my wreath.

You can also attach the pinwheels using floral wire so that they will remove easily. This way you can update the wreath for the next season.

This is a cute wreath! I have some plastic pinwheels already made that are tiny so they didn't work out for the yard. BUT, now seeing your wreath you have given me an idea on how to use them. Even gluing a button on them would make them more impressive. Thanks for inspiring me with ideas!
