I make and sell many welcome signs ( check me out here!), and for each holiday, I try and make a fun and seasonal one as well. So this year, I decide to make wood pumpkin signs! Anyone can make these, check it out!

I started with a wide fence board and a smaller one. They are both 6ft tall you can pick them up at the hardware store.

The other things you’ll need are:

  • paint brown spray
  • chalk paint orange
  • chip brush
  • 2- 1x2” x4.5” wood pieces
  • nail gun
  • Artificial leaves

Then I cut a 1x2 at 4.5” which will be used as the stems.

I cut 24” off both of my fence boards, and these will be used to make a smaller one for my set.

I then stacked the two with the smaller one on top and centered them. I nailed them together and used my dark brown spray paint to spray them randomly.

I also sprayed the stems a brown.

I nailed them on a slight angle on the back of the large board.

Then after the spray paint was dry, I dry brushed orange all over the wood.

It should look like this! Awesome!

Here they are all finished. You could also choose to stencil welcome down the middle and add some leaves 🍁 to the top or stem like I did!

They will look super cute with the rest of my fall decor. Check out more of my projects at Gilbert Marketplace.
