Upcycled 3 Tiered Serving Tray
I found a vintage 3 tiered serving tray for $6 at the thrift store, and I was so excited! With a little cleaning, sanding, and painting, I upcycled it to fit in my home.
Here is the original tray that I found at our local ARC Thrift Store for $6.
I removed all of the contact paper, and washed it down completely.
I pulled the entire tray apart.
I sanded the tray tops with a sanding block and washed them off.
I then spray painted the tray tops with Rustoleum Paint and Primer all in one in the color Titanium Silver. I gave it 3 coats and let it dry between each coat.
Once the paint was dry I gave it 3 light coats of Polycrylic letting it dry between each coat to protect the surfaces.
Once that dried I put the service tray back together and it was ready to be used again.

I love those metal rolling carts but they are hard to come around here! If you got one that had rust on the chrome, sand it w fine grit, then spray it w an anti-rust paint, like Krylon. Just make sure that all grease from your fingertips is removed. I usually wipe it w denatured alcohol, not the one from your medicine cabinet. You can also use Everclear liquor! It's 190 proof. Don't leave it open and wear gloves for both.

You did a nice job of reviving the serving cart, but I am wondering, as the title of the project says 'upcycled', how are you using it now?
What happened to the wheels? Removing them seems to reduce the cart's functionality significantly.
