This project is something that will definitely take some time and love into it. I would recommend doing this project if you have some painting experience or have a vinyl machine to cut out a design to your liking.

Or if your feeling adventurous and artsy this project is perfect for you 😊

This project is kinda cool because I used two unfinished cabinets as my canvas, I got them in the scrap pile at Lowe's for $5 each. Which is a steal 😳

For the materials you will need:

•acrylic paint ( any colors you choose)

• paint brush

• two wood pieces (I used unfinished cabinets so you have that edging to it)

• wood stain

• white chalk acrylic paint

• nails & sawtooth hangers

First thing i do is stain the trim of the wood piece ( you're pretty much making your own frame)

You can use any stain you like I chose to do a Golden oak finish

Once you're done with the first one then you can move on to the next one

Next I started painting the center I used a chalky white acrylic paint

I do about two coats so it's nice and thick and you can't see the wood through the white

Once both of your frames are stained painted and dried you can start the fun part

I use basic acrylic paint and I decided to do a mid-century modern art piece for my wall

I hand painted these again you can also use a vinyl machine to print out an image and stick it on the framed pieces you did

Once I finish painting I let them dry so I can turn them over and nail in the sawtooth hanger

You can buy the sawtooth hangers on Amazon or at Michaels

And you're all done 😊

I hope you guys enjoy this project it's probably one of my favorite so far.

Brilliant! I would never of thought to use a cabinet as a frame. And good idea to incorporate the cricut to make the shapes. I love this and will try it for sure. Thank you!
