I bought a plain glass pumpkin at the end of the season it cost $ 3.99. I turned it into an orange mercury glass stunner

My plain glass pumpkin

Taped the lid to be sure no over spray got onto the outside of the lid

sprayed taped lid with Krylon glass looking spray paint

After I spray the pumpkin with the spray paint. I mix a bottle of 50% water and 50% white vinegar. To make the mercury glass effect.

I tape the bottom half of the pumpkin to keep any over spray on the outside of my pumpkin

How it looks with spray paint and water and vinegar spray.

it needed some color, in my opinion

it looked very good plain but I wanted it orange

I took regular craft paint mixed with MOD PODGE. To give it a permanent effect. I did 2 coats on both the lid and the body of the pumpkin. 2 coats was a personal choice. I left it dry completely in between coats. I left it dry overnight. You may not have to wait that long.

Here is my perfect centerpiece my orange mercury glass pumpkin

Do you spray the vinegar/water while the Krylon is still wet? And how much do you spray?
