How to Decorate a Mirror With Disposable Spoons?

This project arose so as not to throw away the spoons left over from the other tutorial I was doing on how to make a decorative accessory for your home using spoons and rope. Well, to take advantage of that leftover and not throw them away, I bought a mirror in Dollar Tree in case it hurt me not to lose much haha.

The mirror I got was pink so I chose to paint it so that when covered with the spoons the bottom color between spoon and spoon was less noticeable.

To start, I put 3M tape to cover the mirror when painting it with Rust-Oleum Metallic Finish

With a cutter I removed the edge of the tape so when I began to glue the spoons, they wouldn't stuck on the tape, but on the surface of the mirror.

Continue gluing the spoons until the entire edge is covered.

For the second line, glue the spoons intercalated with the first line.

Then for the back (I forgot to paint it) I placed the other part of the spoon.

To cover and make less noticeable the glue that tends to see when glueing the spoons to the mirror, I added a few pieces of silver decorative ribbon.

And this is how this mirror ended it up decorated with disposable spoons.

Hope you like it!!!

Do you know who Tony Duquette was?

his plastic cutlery Art was mind blowing. Be sure to look at his plaster dipped fabric art as well.
