This 3 pumpkin table centerpiece was one of the first items I purchase trying to bring some fall decoration into LuckyHomeToday. I liked it for its simplicity, but I also needed it needed a bit more. Originally it was suppose to have leaves but it never made sense. Once I figured out my plan, this has become one of my favorite pieces I have and use. Here is how I added fairy lights and tulle for the perfect fall decor!

Plain pumpkin from Hobby Lobby

This is a 3 tier pumpkin stand with tea lights. I don’t typically use candles (nor light them) but I figured the base would enable me to use it as a foundation for something. Wandering around the store, it was hard to ignore the Holiday section and a whole end cap of fairy lights. That is when I got the inspiration I needed and an idea began to form.

Ready to wrap!

To make it easy to wrap, I re-wrapped the lights around my fingers.

The idea was to place the battery pack into the center. But I needed to disguise it. I thought about ribbon, laying out leaves, but ultimately I used tulle to help cover it.

I took 4 feet of tulle and began squishing it into the pumpkin, while trying to keep the battery cord and pack in the center.

Once it was completed, I did it to the other 2 pumpkins.

The battery packs are triggered by a button on the battery pack. This makes it easy for me to turn it on/off when its twilight or when I’m heading to bed.

This project was pretty easy to do. You might even want to try doing with with an older child or teenager. While working on this, I’m beginning to realize I have a  fascination with fairy lights! I usually leave them on for 3ish hours at a time. There has been no known issue related to heat or melting with the tulle. I have not noticed the battery pack overheating, either.

While everyone has various pumpkins and fall decor out, why not try to make it a bit more rich and glamorous by adding some fairy lights or even tulle. Once we get past Halloween, I’ll be looking for more fall decor to add to LuckyHomeToday.
