Fall Planters - That Will Come Back in the Spring!

These Fall planters are so easy and the best part about them is that the plants will come back in the Spring! Here is what you will need:

  1. Containers (I used 2 for my porch)
  2. River Rock
  3. Top Soil or Container Soil
  4. Tall Grasses
  5. Wintergreen (This is a ground cover plant with red berries)
  6. Pansies

I am placing these planters on both sides of the door to this home. Make sure you drill 2-3 holes in each planter.

Fill the bottom of the container with 2-3" of River Rock.

Add the grass to the middle of the planter (for height) and then place two of the wintergreen plants on either side of the grass. Fill in the sides with soil.

Then tuck pansies around the edges of the planter. Fill in soil where needed. Then water your plant and enjoy!

Add pumpkins and other plants around if you desire!
