Wood Stake Snowmen

These snowmen are the cutest addition to planters, yard or even in a vase inside! They are so easy to make and actually really inexpensive!

I purchased a huge bunch of wood stakes at Lowes for less than $8.

I started out by painting them white with some acrylic paint. If you are using these outdoors then be sure to pick up the outdoor paint.

I used two coats since the wood was still showing through.

After they were dry, using a black and orange permanent marker, I drew on some fun "snowman faces" changing each of them up. I looked up snowman faces online to give me some ideas.

See the all the steps here! Including how I make the little hats!

I then added hats and scarves with hot glue. I used scrap felt fabric and cut up a old red sweater!

You can see how I made them in the video below.

That was it!

Because they are stakes they already have a pointed end making it easy to put into the ground.

Aren't they the cutest! Perfect to line your driveway or walkway! You can even put them in outdoor pots!

It says "See the all the steps here! Including how I make the little hats!" but that is not clickable nor does the photo below it yield any results.

It also says "You can see how I made them in the video below", but there is only a still photo. How did you make the hats?

Definitely going to do this as my kids have a circular driveway and put wooden stakes in each winter to prevent driving on the grass. I plan to make a bunch of these to replace those plain wooden stakes. Will make a 'useful" Christmas gift!
