Adding A Door Knocker to Give House A Personality Boost

We recently added a door knocker that had some sentimental value for us and is a little different from your ordinary knocker.
Our new pineapple door knocker
We chose a pineapple door knocker because I love that it is vintage and it reminds us of one of our favorite places - Newport, RI (the pineapple represents Newports hospitality)
Did a little how to if your interested...http://29ruehouse.blogspot.com/2012/07/knock-knock.html

I would warn that outside entry doors are supposed to be fire rated doors and you should be careful doing something like this because screwing something into it may de-rate it. Just as a safety warning. Look into it before doing it.

Hi Crystal - very sharp color combination!! I never heard nuthin 'bout a pineapple symbolizing ANYTHING but hospitality - of course, I suppose that could be open to interpretation!! But, I really think you're safe up there in CT. It looks gorgeous!!
