OMW Christmas is around the corner!!!! icon Have you started decorating yet? We normally wait for the middle of December but we have made a few things to get us in the right festive mood. Like these super easy geometric Christmas tree.

They're budget friendly and can be personalize to fit your unique style. We made two versions. A rustic version and this glam, copper one using some copper leaf we had left-over from our metallic bathroom makeover.

To make your own you'll need:

  • Plaster of Paris
  • Plastic cutting mat or cardboard
  • Twigs or small branches
  • Scissors and sticky tape

Start by cutting 4 equal sized triangles from the plastic mat or cardboard. Tape the triangles together to form a pyramid shaped mold.

Place the pyramid upside down in a tall glass to keep it stable and mix up a batch of Plaster of Paris. Pour the Plaster of Paris inside the pyramid and insert a small twig.

To stop the twig from moving around while the plaster sets I cut a hole in another bit of plastic and used it to stabilize the twig. You could also just hold the twig in place since Plaster of Paris sets really quickly icon Once it sets, about 10 minutes, remove the pyramid mold.

"Plant" the little geometric trees in a small bucket or you can make a Plaster of Paris base by creating a tube as a mold.

Decorate and enjoy icon

They look lovely as table decor or on the mantle, and they make lovely gifts too.

How would you decorate yours?
