Wood burn projects are all the rage. Easy to do, they can save you a lot of money over store-bought wood crafts, and are highly customizable! Home decor projects do not get any easier than this simple to make Let It Snow wood burned craft.

You only need three things to make this craft (well, four if your wood sign does not come with a hanger or you wish to swap the hanger out for something different).

Make sure you’re in a well-ventilated area. Open windows or use fans (or just do it outside, if possible).Cover your work surface against burns.Read all instructions carefully for your wood burning tool, and follow the safety tips included.Begin by penciling your wording and snowflakes.

Using the pointed pen tip, begin to outline your letters and snowflakes.

You can use the same tip to color in the thicker parts of your lettering.

Using the same tip, trace any some embellishments you penciled in such as snowflakes, dots, dashes (around the sign), etc. You could also change to a skinnier tip for this to change the look. Or, use multiple different tips to create different widths.Note: whenever you change a tip allow your burning tool to cool down completely before touching the tip. These tips are HOT and you want to practice safety. Never touch the hot tip, always protect your work surface against the heat, and, if you feel better about it, heat resistant gloves and eye-wear would not be a bad idea either!

If your plaque does not come with a hanger, or you decide to swap it out for something else, twine, wire, or a dark ribbon all fir the rustic motif of this easy wall craft!

Your easy craft is ready to hang as desired! Or, use a small easel for desktop, side table, or mantel display.
