Refresh your interior with this aquatic wall poster made from Florence watercolour paper. Create gorgeous posters in no-time using masking fluid, watercolour paints and our handy Work Easy magnetic board. The play on words Seas the day will brighten up any room. Create a personalised gift or paint your own interior decoration for the living room or nursery. For an extra trendy touch, complete your watercolour painting with magnetic wooden slats and a chain for hanging.
Use the magnets to secure 300g/m2 Florence watercolour paper onto the metal surface of the Work Easy.
In pencil, hand letter the quote ‘Seas the day’ slightly higher than the centre of the paper.
Take a watercolour brush pen or brush (without water) and use it to apply the masking fluid onto the letters. Leave to dry.
Now lightly moisten the paper with water. Fill the brush pen with water and apply the various colours of paint. Gently dab the wet paint with kitchen paper in a few places to create a cloudy effect.
Let the piece dry thoroughly and rub off the masking fluid using a clean rubber. Rub in a single direction only; rubbing too hard will damage the paper.
Stamp fish and a turtle onto the piece in any design you like using Distress ink. To finish, take 4 wooden slats with magnets attached and clamp the poster at the top and bottom. Use a cord or chain to hang your handmade poster up with.
