Hi Hometalk! I recently made this easy and inexpensive Valentine's Day garland which could also be used year round, it's so pretty. I like neutrals so went for them, but you could use any color yarn or string you like to match your decor. Here's how I made it-
You probably have most of these items around your home.

I used:
  • Yarn
  • String
  • Cardboard
  • scissors
First rhing to do is to trace, and then cut out your hearts from cardboard. You can free hand it, or use a heart shaped cookie cutter to trace the heart.
Then just wrap your yarn or string around the heart once and tie it so it is secure.
Then just start wrapping the yarn until your cardboard is fully covered. The more yarn you use, the fuller the hearts will look.
I then used a large darning needle to feed my string through all the hearts.
Like so....
It's that easy!My daughter even helped with this project. It looks so sweet.

    Laura:

Your title states “Valentine’s Day”. Why didn’t you use RED in the project?

Love the hearts = and the fact that they are not red! Just lovely.

Where did you get that adorable horse?
