If you're having a party and would like to give your dining room chairs a new look without painting them, consider tying a scarf on the chairback to give the chair a nice covered look. We'll show you how and most likely, you'll have what you need already laying around your home.
Take the scarf you are working with and fold it longways in half.
Next, lay the center of the scarf longways over the chair.
Now you need to grab the two ends and pull them around and towards the back of the chair.
To make the first tie you need to loop one tail under and over the other tail.
Next, take the top tail and hold it in place and loop it behind the other tail and through the hole. (this is called a sailors knot)

Tuck any scarf material in if it has come out.

And you are finished creating a chair wrap with a scarf.
Here's one of our finished chairs. We ended up using different colors on each chair. This is a fun way to personalize each person's seat maybe with their favorite color or just a fun way to add pops of colors to your table setting.
