No Sew Burlap Heart Pillow With Fringe Edge

This simple, no-sew burlap heart pillow will add warmth and texture to your room for Valentine's Day. Especially when layered with other neutrals.
To get started, download the PDF heart patterns from my website and print them out on 8.5 X 11 paper. Because the hearts are larger than a standard piece of copy paper, you will need to extend the lines to complete the tip of the hearts. Alternatively, you can use the SVG files for your cutting machine with 12 X 12 card-stock.
Trace the patterns on Heat n' Bond paper and cut them out with scissors.
Working with the large heart pattern, trace it on the drop cloth fabric and cut it out with fabric scissors. Then fray the edge of the fabric along the entire perimeter of the heart.
Place the small Heat n Bond heart, adhesive side facing the burlap, and press into place at 305 degrees for 3 seconds. Then peel the paper backing off. If you are using an iron, you will need to start with the silk heat setting. if it's not hot enough, slowly increase the temperature. Note: After making several of these pillows, I found it easier to apply the Heat n' Bond to the burlap and then trace and cut it out. This prevents the edges of the burlap from fraying.
Place your burlap heart on top of the drop cloth heart. Press them together at 305 degrees for 8 seconds.
Position the large heart Heat n' Bond paper with the adhesive facing the the drop cloth heart. Press it together using a pre-heated iron or heat press set to 305 degree's for 3 seconds. Then peel the paper backing off of the fabric heart. This will be the side of your heart that is attached to the pillow cover.
Place a sheet of parchment paper inside your pillow cover. Then, center your heart in the middle of the pillow cover.
Cover the whole project with another piece of parchment paper and press at 305 degrees for 20 seconds. Let your project cool. Then add your pillow insert.
