I love decorating for the holidays and am always looking for inexpensive craft ideas. This carrot tutorial is very easy and cost less than fifteen dollars!

Supplies needed:

3 styrofoam cones

3 styrofoam hemispheres

assorted ribbon and bakers twine

thrift store orange sweater

Hot glue the hemispheres to the tops of the cones.

Cut the sleeves or sections out of the sweater and wrap it around the cone all the way to the top.

If you use a sleeve, cut the access of the sweater off and then cut the sweater up the middle about a third of the way up.

If you use another section of the sweater, wrap the section around the cone and hot glue the sides securely together.

Wrap the sweater snug around the styrofoam and hot glue along the side. Trim off any access. Then tuck the raw ends and the bottom of the carrot under and glue securely.

Tie the end of the sweater that is at the top of the carrot with bakers twine.

Cut an eight inch piece of bakers twine and lay flat. Lay assorted ribbon pieces over the bakers twine. Tie the bakers twine so that the ribbon gathers together into a carrot topper.

Attach the ribbon carrot topper to the top of the carrot by tying it to the top.

Trim the ribbon so the ends look clean.

Finish up the other two carrots in the same manner.

And ta da! This easy to make Easter decoration will add character to your holiday decor!

I’d hang them staggered for a cute swag for a front door, or straight across on a thick branch 🪵 with some kind of flowers/greenery 🌿🌸🌼 on both sides for another front door idea. These are just too stinking cute and you’ve really inspired a bunch of ideas. 💯 % 🆒😍🤩🤗👏🏼💃🏼💫💥🥕🥕🥕
